Sharad is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer at ProAlpha Capital. He is based in Mumbai and brings with him 20   years  of rich experience in the Indian capital markets.

Sharad, along with his team, is responsible for creating differentiated long-short market neutral strategies with strong risk-adjusted returns for the Indian markets using their quant expertise and extensive experience. He is responsible for the overall management of the firm’s public market investment strategies.Prior to joining ProAlpha, Sharad was Desk Head- Equities and Derivatives at Phillip Capital India, for more than 10 years where he was instrumental in managing large relationships across various derivatives and equities strategies. He started his career with Kotak Securities as part of the equity team and later moved up to manage large client portfolios.

He holds an MBA degree from Goa Institute of Management and is a graduate in Geological Sciences from IIT Kharagpur.
